Ssahaworks

“From inherited hands to imagined futures.”
At Ssahaworks, each textile begins long before it reaches the loom—within the hands, rhythms, and lived histories of artisans whose knowledge has been passed down through generations. These are not just materials or techniques, but languages—fragile, evolving, and at risk of being forgotten.
My practice emerges from the ground, in close dialogue with weavers and craft communities. Together, we revisit what exists, question what has been lost, and imagine what can still become. Through this process, tradition is not preserved as something static, but reinterpreted—reshaped through design, research, and experimentation.
In a time when many are compelled to leave their crafts behind, Ssahaworks seeks to create reasons to stay. To build spaces where skill is valued, where knowledge is shared, and where artisans are not just makers, but collaborators and innovators.
The work moves across textiles, installations, and exhibitions but at its heart lies a simple intention:
to hold on to what matters, and to carry it forward.
This is not just about craft.
It is about continuity, dignity, and the possibility of renewal.
